This summer, War Horse Cities CDC aims to build on the rich cultural history of Hollins Market with a monthly concert series across from the market. Drawing on our successful projects all across the city like Belvedere Square Summer Sounds that attracts over 3,000 people every Friday, Hollins Summer Sounds aims to bring together folks from the community and surrounding neighborhoods. We are partnering with Troy Staton of New Beginnings Barber Shop to organize the four events and book diverse local acts that will attract all. The monthly concert series will feature local vendors, food trucks, bands, activities for children, and overall a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for the community.
